Michele began learning her way around the judicial system when she clerked for one of the appellate court judges of the Fourth Circuit of Louisiana while she was attending law school at Tulane University Law School.  After she graduated, Michele left New Orleans and began practicing entertainment litigation in Nashville. After several years in the Music City, she moved to Memphis where she worked for a  law firm, honing her litigation skills, particularly in the areas of probate, tests and estates.  In 2005, she opened her own law firm.

Michele has served as president of the Memphis-based Association of Women Attorneys (AWA), a delegate of the Memphis Bar Association, president of On Location: Memphis Film Festival, Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Copyright committee and served as a board member of its Intellectual Property/Entertainment Law Section.

Mid South Business Quarterly named Michele to its annual "Power Player" list.

Michele has tried jury cases in state and federal courts, as well as bench trials.  Her verdicts have been published in Tennessee Jury Verdicts.

Today, Michele focuses her practice in the areas of trust and estate litigation, commercial litigation and intellectual property, areas on which she has been a frequent speaker.

Despite all her accomplishments, the accolades and praises of her peers and the awards she has received for her work, Michele will tell you her pride and joy are her "Irish" twins.  Her son and daughter keep her grounded while giving her an extra reason to excel.

About Us

HF Law Group is a professional yet inviting law firm whose smaller size means clients get the hands on attention they would not get from a bigger, more impersonal law firm. Our attorneys offer more than 65 years of legal experience in the state and federal courts of western and middle Tennessee for the benefit of our clients.  Our firm prides itself on its ability to handle even the most complex litigation in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We take pride in the attentive, responsive service we provide and the long-term relationships we have formed with many of our clients.

It all starts with our attorneys.

Bob is an elected member of one of the legal community's most respected national organizations, the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Michele has held numerous leadership positions in both legal and community organizations. She is the former president of the Memphis-based Association of Women Attorneys (AWA). Michael brings experience, competence and energy to every case he handles.

Robert "Bob" Flynn

Bob Flynn has practiced as a trial attorney for over 40 years.  He's a lawyer who keeps the interest of his clients at heart from start to finish.

Bob has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 1975.  In addition to his admission to practice in all courts in Tennessee, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee; the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.  He's been admitted on a pro hac vice basis to represent his clients across the country, most recently in Mississippi, Minnesota and California.  He's also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Bob originally started his practice with a large law firm in Memphis which focused its practice on corporate and insurance defense.  In 1978, Bob joined another insurance defense firm which became one of the largest corporate/insurance defense firms in the region with offices across Tennessee as well as offices in Mississippi.  Not only was Bob a named partner of that firm, he was the firm's senior litigator and managing partner.

In 2009, Bob decided to change his career path in order to have the freedom to represent not only large Fortune 500 companies and big insurers, but, also to be able to represent the interests of individuals and small businesses across a broad spectrum of legal matters.  Accordingly, he left the big defense firm and joined his wife, Michele at her small law firm, HF Law Group, PLLC. Shortly thereafter, Bob's son Michael, after gaining his experience with a "big firm", joined Michele and Bob at their small “boutique” law firm, focusing their practice on litigation.

In his many years of practice, Bob has handled literally thousands of lawsuits of all types.  He’s tried to verdict well over a hundred jury trials. In addition, he’s handled hundreds of other hearings and bench trials. Bob's trial experiences include personal injury cases, professional negligence cases, medical malpractice cases, construction defect cases, product liability cases, catastrophic injury cases, business torts, contractual disputes, trucking accident cases, trust and estate cases, partnership and shareholder disputes, domestic relation cases and intellectual property cases.

Bob has been selected for membership in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates and is a fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.  He’s a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 qualified mediator and included in the panel of mediators in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Because of his years of trial experience, Bob is highly respected as a mediator.

For each of the past several years, Bob has been named as a Mid-South Super Lawyer, including selection in 2007 as one of the top 50 lawyers in Memphis.  Bob was also named by Mid South Business Quarterly as a “Power Player” in its listing of “Who’s Who in Memphis Business”.
